President Thabo Mbeki will meet FIFA President, Dr Sepp Blatter, in
Tuynhuys, Cape Town tomorrow, 19 June 2007, at 13h30.
President Mbeki will brief President Blatter on preparations for the 2010
FIFA Soccer World Cup. President Mbeki said, ahead of the meeting, that
preparations were proceeding as planned and reassured the South Africa, Africa
and the world that the country would host a successful World Cup.
Presidents Mbeki and Blatter's meeting takes place 1 095 days before the
start of the World Cup.
Members of the media are invited for a door stop interview with both
Presidents Mbeki and Blatter after the meeting at 14h15. Please arrive 40
minutes before.
