The Secretary to the Cabinet and Director-General in The Presidency, the Rev
Frank Chikane, today visited the family of the late Minister of Public Works,
Ms Stella Sigcau. He announced the following arrangements for the official
funeral:
The funeral will take place in the late Ministerâs home at Kwa-Nandi,
Qaukeni Farm, Lusikisiki, in the Eastern Cape at 09h00 on Tuesday, 16 May
2006.
President Thabo Mbeki will deliver the eulogy. Those attending will include
Cabinet colleagues of the late Minister and senior officials, representatives
of royal families from different parts of South Africa, friends and members of
the local populace.
The official memorial service for the late Minister Sigcau will be held at
St Albans Cathedral in Pretoria, Friday, 12 May 2006 at 11h15.
