President Thabo Mbeki will chair the youth working group meeting at Tuynhuys
on Tuesday, 5 June in Cape Town.
The principal objective of the working group is to afford the President and
government the opportunity to interface and engage with the key actors in the
youth sector.
The meeting will be attended by Deputy President Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka, Mrs
Zanele Mbeki, Cabinet Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Directors-General and
representatives from the sector including the National Youth Commission,
Umsobomvu Youth Fund, Disabled Youth of South Africa, Youth Development Trust
and others.
The meeting is expected to discuss, among others, the National Youth Policy
and a presentation of the private sector support study.
