President Thabo Mbeki will tomorrow, Tuesday, 3 October, chair the
Presidential Trade Union Working Group meeting at the Union Buildings, Pretoria
at 11h00 � 13h00.
This meeting, which follows the April 2005 Trade Union Working Group
meeting, will focus on the World Trade Organisation (WTO) and Trade Policy,
casualisation, job creation and poverty eradication.
President Mbeki will be accompanied by amongst others, the Deputy President,
Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka, Minister of Trade and Industry, Minister of Public
Enterprises, senior government officials and advisors.
The trade union constituencies will be represented by amongst others, Mr
Willy Madisha and Mr Zwelinzima Vavi of the Congress of South African Trade
Unions (Cosatu), Ms Mary Malete of the Federation of Unions of South Africa
(Fedusa) and Mr Mahlomola Skhosana of the National Council of Trade Unions
(NACTU).
Media are invited for a photo opportunity at 11h00 and media briefing at
13h00.
