President Thabo Mbeki will on Tuesday, 13 November 2007, chair a meeting of
the Joint Working Group between government, big business, black business, the
agricultural sector and labour at Tuynhuys in Cape Town.
The last Joint Working Group meeting took place on 17 July this year.
Tomorrow the working group will, amongst other issues, discuss policy proposals
by a team of Harvard University economists who have been engaging with
government on a range of economic policy issues. The Joint Working Group is
also expected to examine the position of agriculture in the economy and
discussions will surround the challenges in this regard.
