Celebrations at Galeshewe Stadium

The Department of Arts and Culture and the Northern Cape Provincial
Government invite media to the national Women's Day celebrations on 9 August
2007 at Galeshewe Stadium, Kimberley. The national theme for the 2007 Women's
Day is 'Emancipation, Empowerment, Equality and Eradication of
Poverty�NOW!'
The theme acknowledges that while significant progress has been achieved in
the advancement and empowerment of women, we still face a number of challenges
when it comes to gender equality. The national celebrations will be preceded by
a launch of investing in culture projects on 8 August 2007 at 18h30 at the
Northern Cape Theatre.
