President Thabo Mbeki has, with effect from 1 January 2008, appointed the
new board of the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) for a period of
five years.
The appointment of the board follows interviews and recommendations by the
parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Communications.
The new board is comprised as follows:

Ms K Mkhonza

Ms A Gilwald
Ms F Lagadien
Ms C Qunta
Mr A Trikamjee
Mr DK Golding
Mr A Mbeki

Ms K. Mkhonza and Ms C. Qunta will serve as Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson
of the Board, respectively.
