Islamic Civilisation in Southern Africa

President Thabo Mbeki will deliver the opening address of the International
Symposium on Islamic Civilisation in Southern Africa on Thursday, 31 August
2006, 18h00 at SA Technikon, Vinton Road, Ormonde. The symposium which takes
place from 1 - 3 September is hosted by The Organisation of Islamic Conference,
Research Centre for Islamic History, Art and Culture, National Awqaf Foundation
of South Africa and the University of Johannesburg.
Members of the media are invited to arrive at 17h15 for accreditation
