The Honourable Premier TP Makwetla will be visiting the Mpumalanga Sport
Academy. The purpose of the visit amongst other things is to see and understand
what the Academy is doing, their programmes and also the support that the
Academy is giving to the government.
The visit is scheduled to take place as follows:

A gala dinner will be hosted by the Govan Mbeki Municipality for the SA
Athletics Championships that will be taking place on 20 January 2005. The
purpose of the championships will be for the selection of the best athletes and
to also prepare for the Common Wealth Games that will be taking place in March
2006. The honourable Premier TP Makwetla will deliver a keynote address. The
MEC for Culture Sport and Recreation in Mpumalanga Ms Nomsa Mtsweni will grace
the occasion. Other guests who will be attending the gala dinner are President
for SA Athletics, Mpumalanga President for SA Athletics and Presidents from
other provinces.
