T Didiza to host fraud and corruption conference, 25 to 26 Sept

Department of Public Works takes stance against fraud and
corruption

The Minister of Public Works, Ms Thoko Didiza, Member of Parliament, invites
media to a two-day conference on zero tolerance against fraud and corruption to
be held at Birchwood Executive Hotel on 25 and 26 September 2007.

Key speakers include the Minister of Public Service and Administration, Ms
Geraldine Fraser-Moleketi, Public Works Director-General, Mr Manye Moroka;
Treasury Director-General, Mr Lesetja Kganyago as well as international
speakers from Washington and African countries such as Ghana and Tanzania.

Topics to be discussed and debated are:

* the negative impact of fraud and corruption on service delivery in the
Department of Public Works
* the department's policy on fraud and corruption
* national government's anti corruption strategy
* the impact of fraud and corruption on national budget spending
allocation.
