This is an urgent reminder to taxpayers:
* Taxpayers who want to submit their returns on paper must do so by 31
October 2007.
* Taxpayers who wish to use eFiling do not have to register before 31 October
2007. You have until 31 January 2008 to register for eFiling and to
electronically file your return.
* Some taxpayers are unduly anxious about registering for eFiling and are
advised to register after 31 October 2007.
* Public anxiety is leading to high volumes of traffic on the South African
Revenue Service (SARS) eFiling website and taxpayers may experience
delays.
* Taxpayers are advised to visit the SARS eFiling website from 1 November
2007.
