Women's Month break the silence

The Women's Network for National Head Office presiding at all Client Service
centres (police stations around Pretoria) are having a spectacular gathering at
Kariba Restaurant in Paul Kruger Square to embrace women's month. The aim of
the activity is to highlight the good work women are doing beyond their line of
duty.

One of the objectives of the Women's Network is to make provision for a
pro-active and reactive support base to women with regard to contact
crimes.

Therefore, the South African Police Services (SAPS) women have put lot of
commitment to victims of all contact crimes such as rape, murder, domestic
violence, sexual offences and other related crimes.

The event will be graced by the attendance of the Assistant Commissioner, Dr
L Mofomme in the SAPS.

Interviews will be granted on request.
