The South African Police Service (SAPS) launches a newsletter for the
division of Supply Chain Management (SCM) at the divisional sports field
Silverton on Thursday, 19 July 2007. The newsletter called the SCM Indaba
Newsletter will be used by the SCM division to highlight activities run by
various sections and components for the benefit of both the internal and
external policies. The internal police will be updated about movement,
activities, decisions or any other success stories within the division, the
external police stands to benefit about matters concerning the tender process,
how to register as supplier or how or where to reach or access the relevant
authorities over logistical issues.

The SCM Indaba day will also be used to present and congratulate members of
the police service who completed courses of training at various tertiary
institutions. Twenty members attached to the component facility and expert
management services will be issued with certificates or diplomas from the
respective institutions.

The SCM Indaba day will be attended by senior police management from
national and provincial areas.

Media is hereby invited and interviews and photo sessions will be granted on
request.
