Please be advised that the South African Revenue Service (SARS) will hold
its second Small Business Imbizo in Cape Town on Tuesday, 6 June 2006. A large
contingent of small business owners and stakeholder representatives are
expected to attend the meeting.
SARS will use the opportunity to raise awareness around the Small Business
Amnesty Finance Minister Trevor Manuel announced in this yearâs Budget Speech;
to facilitate public participation in the legislative process a draft bill that
would give effect to the amnesty is currently before Parliament and to provide
taxpayer assistance and education to businesses.
