The South African Police Service Occupational Directed Education Training
and Development Leadership (OD-ETDP) Graduation Ceremony on Friday, 17 February
2006, at SAPS Training Institution Pretoria, Conference Centre (Rebecca Street,
Pretoria West) at 09:30
The main objective of this learnership was to firstly uplift and improve the
knowledge, skills, and personal attributes and current facilitation skills of
the trainers that anchor the Outcome Based Education and Training
Practices furthermore to ensure that SAPS Trainers possess the required
competencies for the SAPS to be accredited as a nationally recognised training
workplace provider. It is also aimed at providing trainers with practical
(hands-on) learning where appropriate and to provide occupationally directed
and focused learning.
The OD-ETDP Learnership is a learning programme of 12 months and it leads to
the qualification National Certificate in ETDP: NQF Level 5.
Deputy Minister for Safety and Security, Ms Susan Shabangu will be the
functionary.
Media is hereby invited, and interviews and photo-sessions will be granted
