National Police Day celebrations

Members of the news media are cordially invited to the second SAPS National
Police Day celebration. As the South African Police Service Act, 1995 (Act 68
of 1995) was promulgated on 27 January 1995, Cabinet declared this day as the
date to celebrate a National Police Day for South Africa.
While celebrations will be taking place at all levels of the SAPS around the
country, North West Province will play host to the national event. This
colourful and entertaining event takes place as follows:

Time: 09:00am for 09:30am
Venue: Mmabatho Stadium, Mafikeng, North West Province
Distinguished guests from the Ministry for Safety and Security include
Minister, Mr Charles Nqakula, the National Commissioner of the SAPS,
Commissioner Jackie Selebi and members of top management.
