A complaint was lodged by the Mayor of Durban, Mr Obed Mlaba, to the South
African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC), regarding an advertorial that was
published in the Chatsworth Tabloid and circulated in Chatsworth. The
advertorial was published in the name of Mr A Rajbansi of the Minority
Front.
Over the past two weeks the Commission has corresponded with various parties
and received certain replies. Over the past week, including this morning, the
Commission received additional information, which necessitates further
investigation and consideration. Provided that appropriate and adequate
responses are received timeously, we trust that our report could be finalised
by early next week.
