10th International Fair at the Union Buildings, Pretoria

Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Sue van der Merwe and City of Tshwane
Executive Mayor Gwen Ramokgopa will on behalf of the Department of Foreign
Affairs and the City of Tshwane host the 10th International Fair under the
banner "A World in One City: Celebrating Cultural Diversity in the City," on
Saturday, 3 November 2007 at the Union Buildings lawns in Pretoria.
The International Fair is an annual event which sees the international
diplomatic community accredited to South Africa participating in an exhibition
showcasing their various countries, cultures, cuisine as well as arts and
crafts.
In addition to the exhibition, activities for the day will include music,
dance and various cultural activities.
All the money raised during the day will be donated to charity
organisations.
Media is invited to participate and indulge in the various cultural
activities from all corners of the world, and assist in raising funds for
charity. Entrance costs R5,00.

18h00 for 18h30: Cocktail dinner, Union Buildings lawns: Deputy Minister Sue

Saturday, 3 November
8h00: Carnival from Church Square to the Union Buildings lawns to be led by
Tshwane Executive Mayor Gwen Ramokgopa
10h00: Official opening of the International Fair by Deputy Minister Sue van
der Merwe
