S Shabangu to address Communities Protecting Women and Children Summit
during 16 Days of Activism, 5 to 6 Dec

The Justice, Crime Prevention and Security cluster (JCPS) and
civil society: Communities Protecting Women and Children Summit

The Ministry for Safety and Security and the South African Police Service
(SAPS) in conjunction with other participating government departments and civil
society, are to hold a two-day ground-breaking summit, with a special focus on
developing a Programme of Action for community participation on gender-based
violence.

The Deputy Minister for Safety and Security, Susan Shabangu, will be the
keynote speaker at the official opening of the afore-mentioned occasion. A
photo session and interviews will be granted on request.
