Soccer Ambassadors Plant Trees in Chesterville Township

The Premier of KwaZulu-Natal Mr Sbu Ndebele, together with representatives
from the Federation International Football Association (Fifa) Local Organising
Committee (LOC) and the MEC for Agriculture and Environmental Affairs Mr
Mtholephi Mthimkhulu will plant trees at low cost houses at Chersterville
Township on Monday, 19 November 2007.
The tree planting drive is a partnership between the LOC and the government
of KwaZulu-Natal and forms part of the LOC's African Legacy Programme and the
Department of Agriculture and Environmental Affairs's Trees for Food
Programme.
They will be joined by the LOC's Soccer Ambassadors including Doctor
Khumalo, Phil Masinga, Mark Fish, Kalusha Bwalya, and Desiree Ellis.
The Soccer Ambassadors will be in the province to conduct soccer clinics,
together with KwaZulu-Natal Soccer Ambassadors, ahead of the 2010 Preliminary
Draw taking place at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli ICC on Sunday, 25 November
2007.
All members of the media are invited to attend the tree planting ceremony,
which will be followed by a media briefing on the programme of action leading
up to the 2010 Preliminary Draw on 25 November 2007.
