KwaZulu-Natal Premier Sibusiso Ndebele and Director-General Professor Mandla
Mchunu will take disciplinary action against two senior officials in the
provincial Department of Agriculture and Environmental Affairs.
This action follows an audit investigation into allegations of mismanagement
of funds involving over a hundred million rands against Head of Department Dr
Jabulani Mjwara and Chief Financial Officer Petrus Mahlangu. The disciplinary
committee is expected to sit soon and both Ndebele and Mchunu have promised
strong action if the two are found guilty of misconduct.
