Premier Sibusiso Ndebele conveys condolences on the passing
away of Ms ND Mazibuko from the KwaZulu-Natal Office of the Premier

KwaZulu-Natal Premier Sibusiso Ndebele has conveyed his condolences on the
sudden passing away of yet another staff member in the KwaZulu-Natal Office of
the Premier. Ms Nkosingiphile Doreen Mazibuko, fondly known as Dolly, passed
away last Thursday, 6 September 2007, after a short illness, at a hospital in
Pietermaritzburg. She was born on 16 December 1969 and attended Masibumbane
High School. She attained her National Diploma in Public Management as well as
her Bachelor of Technology Degree in Public Management through Technikon
SA.

Ms Mazibuko started her career as a public servant in 1992 as a messenger
within the Communications Component in the then Office of the Chief Minister.
She was thereafter transferred to Auxiliary Support to undertake registry
functions. In 1995, Ms Mazibuko was transferred to Communication Services as an
Administration Clerk and was promoted to Senior Administration Clerk in the
year 2000. At the time of her death, Ms Mazibuko was serving in the Provincial
Government Communications Component in the Office of the Premier.

"On behalf of all the staff at the KwaZulu-Natal Office of the Premier, the
government and people of KwaZulu-Natal, we would like to extend our heartfelt
condolences and prayers to the Mazibuko family as well as her many friends and
colleagues. We say, together with you, we also feel the pain of Dolly's passing
away. May your hearts heal soon and may you be strong during this difficult
period," Premier Ndebele said.

A memorial service for Ms Mazibuko will be held on Thursday, 13 September
2007, commencing at 14h00 at the Sinodale Centre in Pietermaritzburg. The
funeral service will be held on Saturday, 15 September 2007, commencing at
09h00 at the Pentecost Church, D Section in Ulundi.
