S Moloto sends message to matriculants

Premier's message to learners sitting for final year
exams

3 October 2006

The Premier of Limpopo Mr Sello Moloto has joined the people of the province
in wishing learners success in the coming final-year examinations. He
particularly expressed hope that grade 12 learners would do well this year and
make the province proud. Limpopo province is one of the provinces in the
country that has consistently produced better results in mathematics and
science over the years.

However, last year the province's matric pass rate dropped slightly from
70,6% registered in 2004 to only 64,3%. The Premier expressed hope that the
pass rate would pick up this year, as educators and learners have obviously
learned their lessons and are now better prepared to confront the challenges.
"We trust that our learners and educators have by now corrected their mistakes
and are well poised to produce better results than all the previous years. As
in the past, we have full confidence in your abilities to exceed our
expectations. We wish you good luck in your exams," said the Premier.
