The MEC for Education in Mpumalanga, Mr Siphosezwe Masango will hold a
community Imbizo on 27 October 2007 (Saturday) at Mpuluzi Stadium starting at
10h00.
During the Imbizo, the community will be able to apply and update documents
such as identity documents, social grants and lost school certificates.
The Department of Home Affairs, the South African Social Security Agency
(Sassa) and the South African Police Service will render some of their services
at the stadium. This is an effort to take services to the doorsteps of
people.
Higher education institutions will also be present to assist learners who
intend registering with such institutions for 2008. Information will be made
available to all during the Imbizo.
The University of Limpopo, Tshwane University of Technology and the
University of South Africa, University of Zululand, Ndebele College of
Education and others have confirmed their participation in this Imbizo.
The Department will be featuring Ntando and other local artists to render
entertainment to attendees at the stadium.
Indeed this is an endeavour to make education enterprise everybody's
business.
