Free State MEC for Health, Sakhiwo Belot, will deliver the
keynote address at the Tuberculosis (TB) Indaba

26 September 2007

Venue: Ilanga Estate Bloemfontein
Date: 27 September 2007
Time: 09h00 to 15h00
Arrivals and registration: 08h00 to 09h00

The Free State Department of Health showed its commitment to a healthy and
self-reliant Free State community in the control of tuberculosis through
ongoing awareness campaigns that are conducted throughout the province.

The purpose of this gathering is to define the roles and the contribution
that people in authority have in the control and the spread of
tuberculosis.

It is necessary to utilise forums like the present Indaba to build on the
existing strategies. The discussions and the engagement of the day must provide
an opportunity to learn from the experiences of the TB managers from other
parts of the country and further drawing from the lessons across the country on
how they approach challenges to further improve the situation of TB in the
province.
