The Deputy Minister of Environmental Affairs and Tourism, Rejoice
Mabudafhasi will on 23 August 2006 launch the 2006 Tourism month in Hazyview,
Mpumalanga.

Tourism Month is celebrated every year during the month of September to mark
World Tourism Day, which is held annually on 27 September. World Tourism Day is
designed to foster awareness among the international community of the
importance of tourism and its social, cultural, political and economic values.
In South Africa we have decided to dedicate September as the tourism month. It
is during this month that we showcase the unique and diverse tourism
experiences in our nine provinces.
