Amendment Bill

The Portfolio Committee on Sport and Recreation is calling for written and
verbal submissions on the National Sport and Recreation Amendment Bill
[B17-2006].
Based on the written submissions and in line with Parliament's vision of
providing national forum for the public to consider issues and seeking to act
as a voice of the people, the people will decide whether to give written or
oral submissions.
Comments, contributions and views on the Bill on how to change the face of
sport in the country and encourage transformation will assist the committee.
Views from the interested and affected stakeholders and members of the public
are welcomed.
The deadline for written submissions is Friday, 8 September 2006, at
12h00.
Members of the public and stakeholders who wish to have a copy of the Bill
may contact the nearest Government printer or obtain it from the Committee
Secretary. The public hearings will be held from 9 to 13 October in
Parliament.
