PAP to brief media on opening, 2 May

President Getrude Mongella to brief media on work of PAP and
agenda issues

Members of the media are invited to the official opening of the Pan African
Parliament (PAP) on Tuesday, 2 May 2006, at 10h00 and later a press
briefing.

President Getrude Mongella will address the media on the work of PAP and
agenda issues such as Peace and Security in Africa, Rationalisation of Regional
Economic Communities.

She will be joined by four Vice Presidents, Hon Fernando Van Dunem (Angola),
Hon Mohamed Farhat (Libya), Hon Elise Ndoadoumnque Loum (Chad) and Hon
Theophile Nata.

Date: 2 May 2006

However, members of the media who have not yet applied for their
accreditation, can still do so by submitting their names, Identity
Documents/Passport numbers and the media house they represent to: atome.sebelebele@panafricanparliament.org.

Applicants are requested to bring their Identity Documents or Passports when
they come to collect their accreditation cards.

Please note that the Accreditation Centre will be open daily between 08h00 –
18h00.
