Members of the media are invited to a closing press briefing on amongst
others, PAP budget, recent developments in Darfur, Democratic Republic of Congo
(DRC) and other conflict areas tomorrow, 11 May 2006.
The briefing will be address by several senior (PAP) MPs from Darfur, Sierra
Leone, Gambia, Kenya, Swaziland and Uganda.
The panel will also be briefing media on the role of the Pan African
Parliament (PAP) on African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM), currently underway in
several African countries including South Africa.
Media are also invited to the open debate on the lecture, entitled
perspectives on and of Africa, delivered by President Thabo Mbeki at the PAP
chambers a month ago, on 1 April 2006.
The debate starts at 09h00 tomorrow, 11 May 2006.
