PAP invites media to a press briefing

Members of the media are invited to a press briefing on peace and security
by Pan African Parliament (PAP) on Monday, 8 May 2006.

The briefing follows the preliminary report on peace and security by members
of the Permanent Committee on Co-operation, International Relations and
Conflict Resolution.

The briefing will be addressed by the Chairperson and members that went of
the fact finding mission to Darfur. The panel will also address the media on
the conflicts in the Great Lakes region; Côte d'Ivoire, Chad and the Democratic
Republic of Congo.

However members of the media who have not yet applied for their
accreditation can still do so by submitting their names, Identity Documents
(ID)/Passport numbers and the media house they represent to Matome.sebelebele@panafricanparliament.org.

Applicants are requested to bring their IDs or Passports when they come to
collect their accreditation cards.

Please note that the Accreditation Centre will be open daily between 08h00
to 18h00.
