Vilakazi to give feedback on ritual murders to angry
villagers

7 September 2007

Mafikeng: North West Transport, Roads and Community Safety MEC Phenye
Vilakazi, is to give the Pella Village community near Rustenburg feedback on
the latest police investigations into ritual murders in the area.

Over the past two weeks, two people have been killed and their bodies
mutilated. Another boy is currently hospitalised after some of his parts were
removed following a suspected attempted ritual murder. The body of the latest
victim, a 17 year old boy, was discovered yesterday with missing private
parts.

Few days ago this developments led to villagers protesting by barricading
roads and pelting police with stones leading to the arrest of a number of
villagers. Last Thursday Vilakazi promised villagers that he had assembled a
team of police experts from around the province to investigate the cases. The
team is led by Senior Superintendent Jan Mabula, who led the Rasuge case
investigations.
