The Deputy President of South Africa, Ms Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka, will be
visiting the Xhariep District for Presidential Imbizo, on 2 to 3 December
2006.
The Imbizo will focus on building capacity of municipalities under Project
Consolidate, as well as promoting government's Programme of Action with
emphasis on Accelerated and Shared Growth Initiative for South Africa
(AsgiSA).
The Deputy President will as part of her visit launch the Multi-Purpose
Community Centres (MPCCs) of Trompsburg and Zastron, visit community projects
in Phillipolis and Smithfield as well as host the big Community Imbizo on 2
December 2006 in Rouxville.
