Deputy President Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka will tomorrow, 23 November 2006,
deliver a keynote address at the launch of the Kimberley Big Hole Tourism
facility gala event.
In the context of the Accelerated and Shared Growth Initiative for South
Africa (AsgiSA), tourism has been identified as one of the priority sectors
with a high advantage to increase the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) to 12% and a
potential to increase employment by up to 400 000 people and the launch of the
Kimberly Big Hole Tourism facility will serve as an added impetus to this
acceleration of economic and shared growth.
