Deputy President Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka will later today, 17 January 2005,
officially open the Youth Sector Consultative Workshop on Accelerated Shared
Growth Initiative of South Africa convened by the National Youth
Commission.
This prestigious event is scheduled as follows:

Venue: Kopanong Conference Centre, Benoni
Expected to emerge from the two-day workshop is a consolidated youth sector
input for consideration into the broader national ASGI-SA framework. The
workshop will specifically interrogate such youth development opportunities as
provided by the human resource development initiatives, expanded public works
programme, development of small, medium and micro enterprises (SMMEs), Business
Process Outsourcing and minerals beneficiation, co-operatives and 2010 Soccer
World Cup projects.
