The National Youth Commission (NYC) invites members of the media to the
launch of the National Youth Service Volunteer Campaign - a platform for South
Africa's youth to volunteer to render community service for the development of
their own communities.
Deputy President Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka will deliver the keynote address and
unveil the national programme of activities.
The campaign forms part of the National Youth Service Programme to engage
youth in projects that contribute to the development of communities, while
exposing participants to skills which facilitate access to economic
opportunities for sustainable livelihoods.
The media launch of the campaign will take place as follows:
