Deputy President Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka will on Wednesday, 14 November
deliver a keynote address at Corporate Council on Africa (CCA) Business Summit
opening gala dinner. The summit will feature business trade missions led by
various United States (US) organisations to nearly 30 African countries.
The CCA, which was established in 1993, is at the forefront of strengthening
and facilitating the commercial relationship between the United States and the
African continent. It is a non-profit, membership-based organisation to promote
business and investment between the United States and Africa. Hosted every two
years, this is the corporate council on Africa's sixth summit but the first
ever to be held on the African Continent.
The Corporate Council on Africa, with its nearly about 200 companies,
represents about eighty-five percent of US private direct investment in Africa.
Its mission is to strengthen trade between American and African businesses. The
organisation is dedicated to raising Africa's investment profile in the US
through development of critical contacts and business relationships.
