Gauteng MEC for Finance and Economic Affairs, Paul Mashatile, will on
Tuesday, 25 July 2006, host a delegation from the Lioaning Province in
China.
The delegation is led by the Chairman of the Chinese Peopleâs Political
Consultative Conference (CPPCC) in Lioaning Province, Guo Tingbao.
The visit by the Chinese delegation is a follow-up to a meeting held in
Shenyang in May this year between a business delegation from Gauteng led by
Mashatile and members of the CPPCC led by Tingbao. At this meeting both parties
agreed on the need to strengthen economic ties between Gauteng and the Lioaning
Province.
Mashatile and Tingbao will use tomorrowâs meeting to discuss further ways of
improving relations between Gauteng and the Lioaning Province.
