Agriculture
23 July 2007
The agricultural sector remains one of the key contributors to the economic
growth of the country. Statistics South Africa (Stats SA) will collect
information from individuals or groups who engage in commercial agricultural
farming in the new Census of Commercial Agriculture 2007 which will commence in
August 2007.
This census will be conducted via post, fax, e-mail and personal visits in
all nine provinces among farming units in the formal agricultural business
sector. All farming units registered for Value Added Tax (VAT) and/or Income
