P Lehohla to brief media on Community Survey data collection, 13

Community Survey officially comes to an end

12 March 2007

On 22 January 2007, Finance Minister Trevor Manuel and the
Statistician-General Pali Lehohla officially launched the Community Survey,
which is the largest ever household-based survey after Census to be conducted
by Statistics South Africa. The survey involved visits to �280 000 households
across the country from 7 to 28 February 2007. The Statistician-General will on
Tuesday, 13 March 2007, present a report on the data collection phase of the
survey to the public.
