The National Youth Commission in partnership with the national government,
the Gauteng Provincial Government, the city of Johannesburg, the June 16
Foundation invites members of the media to the unveiling of the national
programme to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Soweto and connected
uprisings.
The details of the unveiling are as follows:
Venue: Morris Isaacson High school in Soweto
Date: Monday, 29 May 2006
Time: 09h30 â 10h00
The Chairperson of the National Youth Commission, Jabu Mbalula, will present
to the media and learners of Morris Isaacson High school and other Soweto
schools the national programme with activities that will take place throughout
the country.
Expected to attend the unveiling are members of the National Youth
Commission (NYC), Provincial Youth Commissioners, youth leaders and members of
learner representatives from high schools in Soweto.
