A Ntsaluba to chair South Africa-Zimbabwe Joint Commission of

Foreign Affairs Director-General leads South African delegation
to SA - Zimbabwe Joint Commission of Co-operation

Director-General of Foreign Affairs Dr Ayanda Ntsaluba, today Monday, 5
February 2007, departed for Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe where he will lead a
senior South African official's delegation to the South Africa-Zimbabwe Joint
Commission of Co-operation (JCC) scheduled for Tuesday, 6 February 2007.

Director-General Ntsaluba will co-chair this session of the South
Africa-Zimbabwe JCC within the context of South Africa's commitment to
strengthening bilateral political and economic relations with countries of the
region with a view to the consolidation of the African agenda.

The South African delegation comprises of officials from the Departments of
Trade and Industry, Home Affairs, Justice, Environmental Affairs and Tourism,
Transport, Health, Arts and Culture, Housing and South African Revenue Services
(SARS).

This session of the JCC will also finalise preparations for a meeting of the
Ministerial meeting of the South Africa-Zimbabwe Joint Commission of
Co-operation to be co-chaired by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Dr Nkosazana
Dlamini Zuma and Mr S S Mumbengegwi later this year.
