The tabling of a consolidated Provincial National Report Consultative Work
of the Africa Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) went successfully in Rustenburg on
11 July 2006.
The workshop was attended by stakeholders from government, non-governmental
organisations, community based organisations, all political parties active in
the province, the youth, the disabled and other organisations that participated
in the APRM process in the North West Province.
On 12 July 2006, President Thabo Mbeki, handed over the Country Self
Assessment Report to the Panel of Imminent Persons in Pretoria.
The Panel of Imminent Persons will then be visiting the North West Province
on 21 July 2006 at the Rustenburg Civic Centre at 07h30.
The purpose of the visit is to engage with the stakeholders about the review
process undertaken in the province. The stakeholders among others include the
Executive Council, Legislature and the broader Civil Society.
