The death toll from the accident on the Mafikeng-Lichtenburg road this past
Sunday has risen to six after one of the victims died at the Bophelong Hospital

She was Kedibone Moholo (no age given), also of Verdwaal near Itsoseng.

She was among the seven occupants of the BMW sedan which burst into flames
after it collided head-on with another vehicle in which two pastors were also
killed instantly on impact.

The accident happened at about 04h00 on Sunday.

Police have identified the victims as Frans Rankashe Molelekwa (22),
Nathaniel Mogale Sosibo (34), pastors Meshack Selani (35) and Fani Ntsabane
(41).

One of the charred bodies of a male is yet to be identified at the
government mortuary in Lichtenburg.

Two of the survivors are in a stable condition at Thusong Hospital, Itsoseng
and one was today transferred to Bophelong Hospital in Mafikeng.

North West Transport MEC, Jerry Thibedi on Sunday expressed shock and
sadness.

He conveyed his condolences to the relatives who lost their loved ones in
this horrific accident and wished those injured a speedy recovery.

While the cause of the accident is yet to be confirmed preliminary
investigations have not ruled out the possibility that human factors i.e.
excessive speed or falling asleep behind the wheel, may have been the main
cause.
