The southern region of the North West Department of Public Works will
tomorrow, Friday, 22 September 2006, celebrate heritage under the theme
âAligning diverse cultures for improved service deliveryâ at the public works
regional office in Potchefstroom.
The Executive Mayor for Potchefstroom Local Municipality, Councillor Andrew
Maphetlhe will deliver the keynote address. Other speakers will address
departmental employees on cultural diversity in the workplace. There will also
be colourful displays and presentation of European, Afrikaner, Batswana, Nguni
and Sotho cultures.
Members of the media are invited to cover the event that is scheduled to
start at 09h00 at the departmental regional office, 149 Kruis Street in
Potchefstroom.
