North West Legislature to visit Taung for second oversight on housing, 5
– 8 Sept

The Portfolio Committee on Developmental Local Government and Housing is in
Taung from 5 - 8 September 2006 to perform an oversight visit on housing in the
Taung region. This oversight is the second phase of their visit to Taung. This
visit is two pronged. The committee is in Taung to visit the houses washed away
by the March Taung floods and also to look deeper into the Toro ya Africa
housing issue. This delegation is led by the chairperson of the Committee, Hon
Mahlakeng.
