Multi-Agency Investigation: Seizure of millions of assets and
arrest

The National Prosecuting Authority's (NPA's) Asset Forfeiture Unit (AFU),
Special Tax Unit (STU) and the Directorate of Special Operations (DSO) will
embark on a joint operation with the South African Police Service (SAPS) and
the South African Revenue Service (SARS), where assets worth millions of rands
are to be seized or frozen. Financial investigations were carried out and the
charges of theft and fraud have been investigated.

This operation will take place on Thursday, 31 May 2007. The details are as
follows:
