18 April 2006
North West Health Department MEC Nomonde Rasmeni, who visited a number of
hospitals this month, will on Wednesday, 19 April 2006, continue to assist
health workers at Witrand Hospital in the cleaning and painting of that
facility.
The cleaning and painting project is part of the on-going Letsema Health
Month campaign that was launched early this month, with the objective of
ensuring that the dignity and value of working for health is commemorated.
âWhen we launched this programme, we committed our selves in ensuring that,
provincial health facilities receive our full support in their drive to
beautify our facilities. We are encouraged by the progress we have recorded in
some hospitals and clinics, as far as our health month programme is concerned.
Our major challenge now is to maintain the momentum and keep our facilities
neat and tidy,â emphasised MEC Rasmeni.
MEC Rasmeni will on the day, join the hospital CEO, other hospital managers
and staff members in ensuring that the hospital environment becomes cleaner and
more attractive to the public.
Members of the media are invited to join MEC and become part of the
departmentâs project. Letsema will start at 08h00.
