The Minister of Education, Mrs Naledi Pandor, will on Monday, 14 May 2007,
visit schools in Khayelitsha, Cape Town in the Western Cape province as part of
her campaign to get first hand information about the support the schools are
getting from the Department.
At 10h00, Minister Pandor will visit Qhayiya Senior Secondary School, where
she will have meetings with the principal and the educators. She will
thereafter address learners during the tea break.
The Minister will then proceed to pay surprise visits to some schools in and
around Khayelitsha.
