The Minister of Education, Mrs Naledi Pandor, MP, will on Monday, 13 March
2006, officially launch the Langa Multi Media Centre at Langa High School,
Langa, Western Cape.
The centre was built through funding by the Bytes Technology Group, which is
headed by Dr Bill Venter as part of its Corporate Social responsibility. Other
guest speakers at the event include Dr Bill Venter, Chairman, Bytes Technology
Group and the MEC for Education in the Western Cape, Mr Cameron Dugmore,
MPL.
The centre provides a model for private-public partnership space in providing
information and communication technologies (ICTs) into education in order to
bridge the digital divide.
Through this generous funding, the school now boost of the following:
* state of the art computers
* stunning high technology design
* internet connectivity
* continued support for teacher training in IT
