the keynote address at the launch of the Mondi Education Centre

The Minister of Education, Mrs Naledi Pandor (MP) will on Monday, 9 October
2006, at 10h00 deliver the keynote address at the launch of the Mondi Education
Centre at Gert Sibande Region, Piet Retief in Mpumalanga province.
The Education Centre incorporates a fully functional interactive Science
Centre, Career Guidance and the Resource Centre and FET Skills Development
Centre.
The Centre is built to provide a âone-stop-educational-facilityâ that would
stimulate interest in Science, provide information, knowledge and skills
training to learners, educators and out of school youth.
In addition, the Centre will in the long run offer psychometric services,
pre-employment interviews and induction courses to and for the surrounding
industries.
Minister Pandor will be accompanied by the MEC for Education in Mpumalanga, Mr
Siphosezwe Masango, Councillor AM Gamede, Gert Sibande District Mayor and the
executives of Anglo, Mondi, Shanduka and Kangra.
